Location: On a hill above the village of Penjamo.
 
To Reach: 0.00 -- Driving north-west on hwy 200, pass through the town of Coyuca de
Benitez to the east side of the Coyuca de Benitez Bridge.
 
1.50 1.50 Pass the village of Los Cimientos. Hill where site is located is visible to
the north-west (see site photos).
 
2.50 1.00 Intersection of Hwy 200 and dirt road heading north. Turn right (north)
at road indicated by a sign which says Carrera Larga 6.
 
2.65 0.15 Park the vehicle right before a stone wall painted blue.
 
A small cobblestone path leads up the hill alongside houses and a few
shops. The path becomes dirt and somewhat difficult to follow.
Continue up, as you reach the top, look for the antenna of the UNAM
accelerometer station.
 
Site is located about 5 meters from the north-east corner of the fenced
UNAM station.
 
Main Station Mark: Stainless steel pin with center punch, no inscription, set in rock (assumed
Reference Marks: None.
 
Geology: Granitic outcrop.
 
Comments: Nearest telephone, gas, and limited medical services located in the town of Coyuca De
Benitez, 2.5 km away. 2 wheel drive vehicle is fine for reaching this site.
